SMTP Error while adding MS 365 to Zoho CRM

If you are getting an "Unable to get an SMPT email" error message when attempting to add and integrate Microsoft 365 with Zoho CRM, the Microsoft mail configuration might not include the correct SMTP setting. The following procedure should assist:

  1. Log into Microsoft 365 admin center and go to Users > Active Users
  2. Select the user whose email ID is used to integrate with Zoho CRM, click Mail in the side pane that pops out.
  3. Click Manage Email Apps in the Email apps section
  4. Select Authenticated SMTP settings if it is not already selected.
  5. If the option is already selected, unselect and select again.
  6. Click Save Changes
